it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
To truly grasp fractions, students need physical and interactive engagement. This is where "Hands-On Fun with Fractions" helps. The project enables students to construct, visualize, and analyze fractions beyond the district curriculum.
For example, activities like Fraction War engage students while teaching equivalency, and Fraction Dice offers a playful way to practice adding and subtracting like and unlike fractions.
The Fraction Tiles kit also revolutionizes whole-group sessions, allowing grades 3-6 to explore unit fractions visually, decompose wholes, and perform operations.
This hands-on approach enhances understanding and builds procedural fluency, transforming students’ grasp of fractions for future success.
