Help me give my students some opportunities to have some fun hands-on learning tools like paint, erasers, and Play-Doh in order to learn and remember their basic and fundamentals, such as their letters, shapes, and numbers.
I am a fourth-year teacher and I have learned that all students learn differently. In order to supply my students with what they need, we need to have many options for hands-on learning. I strongly believe in Piaget's theory of children learning best through play (hands-on). Our district as a whole is in a low-income area and received a D on our report card. It is my job and my goal to raise that letter grade and preferably by two grade levels and it all starts here in kindergarten!

My Project
I will be using the foam shaving cream to use on our desks in order to recall our letters and letter sounds. It is a fun game to say what is the letter that makes the sound /s/ and then they will use their learning to write the letter s on their table in shaving cream. 100% of the students participate and they have fun while learning fundamental content.
I am asking for these items in order to have fun through learning.
Play based learning is always the learning that sticks.
I am also asking for Play-Doh and screen protectors in order for my students to roll Play-Doh and do hands-on learning by creating and tracing their letters, shapes, and numbers.
We use the dot markers to change up the way we trace and learn letters. We will use the erasers to play letter memory match games and writing our friends names and erasing them on our whiteboards.
