My Project
These hands-on fraction tiles will enhance the creative, interactive learning environment I strive to create. Fractions can be a scary experience for many of my students who are seeing them for the first time. I have chosen these hands-on fraction pieces to give a students a visual and kinesthetic approach to learning this new topic. Other classrooms have used these before, and LOVED them!
With these new fraction pieces, my students will get the hands-on experience they need to learn this daunting topic.
These will offer the freedom to learn in a way that works best for my students- giving them an opportunity to learn with their hands and their eyes, rather than just a paper and a pencil. My students have already shown interest and excitement at the opportunity of having these tools!
