My Students

As a first-year teacher, I expected to love teaching and wanted to make a difference in their lives. What I didn't expect was how much I would love it and that the students would make a difference in my life.

They are all so kind and sweet.

One time I accidentally said "see you tomorrow" when they were going to recess. Now they tell me "see you tomorrow!" every time they go to recess. I would not ask for a better group of students.

My Project

These materials will make a great difference in my students' learning throughout the year. Being in Kindergarten, the students are introduced to so many new topics and ideas. There are so many ways that a student can learn, but it is helpful when it is hands-on. To aid in their understanding and growth of a topic, especially math, it is beneficial to have manipulatives so that the students can have a concrete understanding.

Using rekenreks and the snap number bonds will help aid in the student's ability to grasp the concept of addition, subtraction, counting, and many other concepts!
