This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a wonderful, tight-knit school in a high-poverty urban area. Our teachers do so much with so little and want all of our children to succeed! Our students come to school eager to learn and excited to be there.
One of the great things about our school is that it provides a place of stability for our students.
Our students face obstacles that no child should ever face. However, they are resilient and strive to do their best every single day!
My Project
Our pre-k class is in need of materials to help develop math and science skills. These materials, 3-D magnetic math builders, sink and float games, and STEM science kits are all hands-on activities. They also help keep students engaged in their learning! These math and science kits will be used to develop counting, sorting, and patterning skills.
The best part of this project is that the kids will have fun learning and stay active and involved in their learning.
The fishing counting game will be used to develop number sense and improve fine motor skills. The building brick kit will be used in small groups. It has so many great uses: building social skills, working together, special awareness, and building creativity are just a few!
Our students will use these materials during our small group, whole group, and center time. Your generous donation to our project will improve our Pre-K classroom by building a love of math and science.
