Help me give my students have resources for a fun and hands-on Elementary Career Fair, to learn about the many careers and helpers we have in our community.
We are a small rural elementary school with a very small budget for career education. These much needed resources will help enhance our Hands-On Elementary Career Fair for our lower grades, pK-4th grade. Each year we decorate an empty area in our school for each classroom to come explore our "Career Centers" and to learn more about jobs and community helpers.
With these new resources, we will be able to read books about new/different careers/community helpers and will be able set out over 30 Career Centers for our students to explore the "tools" of the trades.
The students love trying out the different "tools" that are in each Career Center. We currently offer over 30 centers for over 250 students to explore.
Because of a very limited budget, most of our resources in our career centers are old and outdated. Some of the career "tools" are just picture copies because we can't afford the real tools. With your help by providing these resources to our students, we will be able to provide more engaging lessons and make their learning a more memorable and fun experience.
