Help me give my students magnetic manipulatives and letters to deliver interactive instruction and increase their educational experience during Zoom meetings with my students.
Our school consists of students in grades PreK-5. They come from various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. We are a very diverse school district with a low socioeconomic background. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
I never imagined that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in our classroom.
However, the year and learning together is not over yet!
My students and I have embarked on the distance learning journey! We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things together. My students and I participate in Zoom meetings to introduce new material, and to check in with each other. I absolutely love seeing their smiling faces. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things.
My Project
Having magnetic manipulatives, magnetic letters, numbers and a stand will allow me to create visual presentations to my students via Zoom, enabling students to become fully engaged during lessons. With the magnetic letters and numbers I can complete phonemic awareness and math activities to strengthen my students skills.
These materials will provide my students the visuals to complete interactive lessons and activities while we are at home.
I can easily share hands on activities expanding learning opportunities to my students by increasing access to real-time lessons with the creation of our new distance learning classroom.
