Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For our lesson on Mesoamerica, we will be creating Mayan death masks using the clay and tools. The tissue papers and paint brushes will be used to create paper mache molds for the masks.
For our lesson on Early Modern Asia, we will be molding artifacts from the Chinese, Korean, and Japanese empires.
Students learn so much more when their lessons are interactive and fun, and it engages them in a way that books and videos can't. Please help them use their creativity and learn that their own hands can create beautiful works of art as they learn about how it relates to the world around them.
