This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students come from a low income/poverty area. When they come into my classroom, I do my best to create an environment they love and can be comfortable in. I try to reinforce safe spaces as much as I can. A lot of my students cannot afford gaming systems at home. With me being a computer science teacher and the main thing, they truly enjoy is gaming and animations, I would love to be able to let the experience more gaming experiences in the classroom.
Having some robots in the classroom that my students can build will help me do this.
I need help buying the consoles and I will purchase the games for the consoles out of my own pocket. These are things my students have asked for when I pass out my surveys. They want to not only code online but see it in real life.
