My Students
My second grade students are an amazing group of children. Each day they come to school ready to learn. I love their curiosity to explore new and challenging topics. They are special because they always try to do their best. I am very proud of them.
My Project
My group of amazing second grade students LOVES to learn by doing. Any type of activity where I can provide them hands-on experiences increases their learning ten fold.
These centers will provide not only hands-on experiences, but also variety in their day. These activities will help to provide a foundation in both mathematics and reading. They give students a chance to practice skills in new and exciting ways.
They also get to work with their peers, instead of the teacher. This gives them the chance to take control over what they are learning. Ownership over their experience is a sure way to get kids engaged and excited. And when they are excited, I am excited!
