My Students

My students come from many different socioeconomic and academic backgrounds. I have 144 total students that I will teach in 5 class periods for this school year. I have students that are verbal, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. As a teacher, I try to facilitate lessons that will meet all learning styles. Students that struggle with reading and note taking will retain and learn better when they are allowed to think outside of the box using hands on activities. My students retain information when they are allowed to have the opportunity to go to the science lab and have hands on activities that will allow them to think outside the box. I want to help my students get involved in the learning process.

My Project

Each of these kits will he used to teach seventh grade objectives to students, while allowing them hands on activities. Hands on activities allow students to see first hand that Science Matters. Students learn best when they are allowed to think outside the box. By allowing students to participate in lab activities where they are allowed to use critical thinking skills and hands on activities will allow them to learn about chemical reactions, bonding, balancing scientific equations, and all about how the periodic table is arranged. Students learn by doing. I want to open the world of science to my students so that they may decide to become future Chemists. By donating you would not only be helping my students to have the opportunity to have hands on activities to improve their skills; you might also be encouraging a child to decide on a career path in Science.
