This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My young learners are curious and ready to learn with their hands. The goal of this project is to have the preschoolers come together to care for their garden while becoming active participants. This will help them develop responsibility and commitment while gaining cooperative lifelong skills in caring for nature. It is a place where our preschool students can care for plants and harvest their crops as part of the Healthy Schools Curriculum.

My families are of low income with a lack of greenery in the community.

This garden will bring in support from our community partners and directly impact our students and families to a healthier life style. To maintain our vision, we need garden tools to care for our plants and a shed to store them throughout the seasonal changes.
