Help me give my students EAI Education Math Stacks Classroom Game, ETA hand2mind VersaTiles Literacy Takealong Workbook and Answer Case, dominoes, and dice the opportunity to have fun hands-on learning in the classroom!
We are a middle school classroom of mathematicians located in Lawrenceville, Ga. We have a wide variety of learners which include English Language Learners. We love to explore new problems and see how they can relate to us in the real world. We spend a lot of our time using hands-on learning and reading. I want my students to have hands-on learning in my room and to prepare them for experiences they might have outside of my classroom. Through reading and conversations, I am able to help my students bridge the gap between real-world and math. In addition, I am able to help my students develop socially.
My Project
My students are very passionate about learning! However, it is very difficult to keep their interest and continue their passion for math when there are little hands-on resources to help my students. I have all sorts of learners, however, all my learners like to have hands-on experiences and have fun with their learning. Through the little resources that I have, I found my students were able to remember the standards more accurately rather than the ones that were reinforced with paper and pencil. These resources will help promote learning, while my students are having fun! I want my students to walk away from my math class by knowing their standards and saying I had so much fun!
