Handling Emotions with Characters!

Help me give my students opportunities to explore emotions through books at the kindergarten level. Reading through social stories allows students better opportunities to identify and express their emotions.

My Project

The kindergarten classes would like to use these texts to help students better understand their emotions and how to express their emotions appropriately. These books offer positive examples of healthy relationships to display kindness, empathy and forgiveness. They are easy to read books that gently present important social emotional themes to help students deal with big feelings. Students will love the characters and stories to help relate to difficult situations they all face. We would like to use these as social stories in whole group or small group instruction as examples of appropriate behavior when having big feelings.
