This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a multitude of backgrounds. They are incredibly creative, multi-lingual, and all show their learning in various ways. Despite their many strengths, these students are severely under-resourced and require a lot of extra support to have their needs met.

My students have enormous hearts, resilience, and a deep desire to learn.

They would all be incredibly grateful for funding for this project.

My Project

I teach students with learning differences who greatly benefit from various modes of learning. Students will use these concrete visuals and tools to engage with mathematical concepts and deepen their understanding of mathematical operations. My students have a tough time participating or engaging in lessons unless there are fun and exciting objects. Therefore, I plan to use these games and manipulatives to create fun and active projects. I appreciate all of these items because they can be used for an abundance of creative lessons that support the unique ways in which students learn!
