This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

3D Shapes tools will help my students understand geometric concepts in a tactile way. They can manipulate and explore different 3D shapes, which aids in comprehending properties such as edges, vertices, and faces. I will incorporate these shapes into lessons on geometry, allowing students to physically handle the shapes as they learn. This hands-on experience helps solidify abstract concepts by making them concrete. Tens frames would help my students visualize numbers and understand the concept of ten, which is crucial for place value and arithmetic operations.

These will be used in daily math activities where students can use counters to fill the frames, assisting in visualizing addition, subtraction, and understanding number bonds using a hands-on approach.

The purpose of the Easel pads are to be used for collaborative work, brainstorming, and displaying important information or student work. With this tools I hope to make math lessons more engaging and enjoyable for students, fostering a positive attitude towards learning. Help students better understand and retain math concepts by providing concrete, visual representations of abstract ideas catering to various learning styles by incorporating tools that support visual, kinesthetic, and collaborative learning, ensuring that all students can grasp and apply mathematical concepts.
