Hand-eye coordination is a cognitive skill that involves the brain synthesizing visual input with upper extremity movements to perform precise actions. It's crucial for everyday tasks like picking up objects, catching a ball, and writing.
Engaging in hand-eye coordination activities can help children improve their ability to focus and concentrate, which is beneficial for both academic and social situations.
I would love to be able to do some fun and valuable exercises with the balls as a whole class to build these skills together. By taking a few minutes each day to work on this, I hope to increase student focus and hand-eye coordination. It also helps that using this method provides a fun and useful brain break in our normal day.
