Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The goal for my Pre-K project is creating a “Hall of Fame” board. This will serve as positive reinforcement rewards and assist in better classroom management. Reducing negative behavior allows for more learning time. My goal is that my students always feel loved, safe in the classroom, and ready to learn. Learning begins at an early age especially when they feel appreciated. I feel it’s essential for students in Pre-K to have a positive and rewarding experience. Creating a love for learning begins early on and will last a lifetime. Therefore, it’s important to have a rewarding, safe space with a positive environment so they can learn to their maximum potential. At this age social and emotional positive reinforcement is just as important as the academics.
