Halifax County High Schoolers Getting Back in the Kitchen!

My students need supplies in our pantry to begin cooking in the kitchen. All these products will be utilized throughout the year.

My Students

I have a great group of kids this year. Most students already have some culinary experience and are excited to be offered this program. We live in a large county in southern Virginia. The food service industry is always expanding and hiring. These students will have life long skills they could use out in the real world. So many homes are busy and utilize convenience foods these days. I think teaching kids how to cook and about proper nutrition is so important.

My Project

Halifax County High Schoolers are back in the kitchen, but without food supplies. Help us jump start this program back with some goods for our pantry. Students will use these items to bake, cook, and sell. This will allow our program to keep going strong through the year and into future semesters. This is just the tip of the iceberg for us but it will make a huge impact. Thank you for stopping by to take a look.
