My students need an innovative management system packed with tools to help create a successful learning environment. A print rich classroom, establishing routines, planning activities, and ensuring easy transitions is our goal!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are inquisitive explorers of their surroundings! They are always asking questions and conducting experiments in the world around them. They come up with the most innovative ideas and I can just see that the future is going to better because of them! Our Preschool program students can and do come from all over the city. We have a wonderfully diverse classroom with students from various backgrounds and countries such as Poland, and Albania! We are all able to learn from each other because of all the life experiences that we can share with one another.
We have lively and inspiring students so there is never a dull moment in our room!

My Project
After 12 years our half day Preschool program is transitioning into a Full day program! The Full Day Preschool experience encourages each child to think, reason, question, solve problems, and experiment through meaningful and intentional learning opportunities. Students are encouraged to make choices and display independence. Each child’s development is fostered through a variety of instructional approaches that support the needs and strengths of the child.
In leiu of having more time to connect with families we want to have a communication center that gives everyone access to information!
Schedules, calendars, handouts, sign in sheets, will be easy for families to access and always be up to date with what is happening in the classroom and the school.
We are so excited to have more time for instruction and skill work and would like to incorporate an innovative management system to create a more successful learning environment.
A system that is print rich, helps with routines, planning activities, and transitions, labeling to promote language and development.
We are looking forward to Full day Preschool and all of our future achievements!
