Hair Love Part 2

My Project

Every year for Black History Month, our students will have the opportunity to participate in a hair braiding seminar. Students work with a stylist to learn how to braid and maintain healthy hair. My goal is to help our students take care of themselves, express their creativity through hair, and build relationships with one another through their common interests. I have requested mannequin heads and braiding combs for students to practice their braiding skills. It is important for us to provide students with the opportunity to work with different textures of hair and braiding techniques. My students are unique because they are creative, outspoken, and resilient. I hope to motivate and inspire them to be the best version of themselves.
