Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school in a city school district. In our public city school, many scholars are diverse, multiple language learners and at-risk readers. Currently, the entire school population receives free breakfast and lunch. Many scholars are also from low-income households. However, they are warm, loving, and continually searching for ways to grow and become better each day. I am honored to teach such wonderful children.

I enjoy providing scholars a multitude of experiences to connect the curriculum and enhance their learning while promoting equitable access and allowing them to be creative and stimulate their curiosity.

My scholars are eager to learn, excel and connect the curriculum in the school library media center. As the school librarian, I am able to reach every student in the school. I have been teaching for eighteen years and I take a great deal of pride in my work. I strive to make learning fun and engaging as I have been focusing on transdisciplinary learning to help scholars have authentic and powerful learning experiences.

My Project

The requested books will enable children to master distance learning. They will better understand how to participate in project based learning. They will learn how to take brain breaks. Students will understand how to structure their spaces and best utilize and organize their time while working independently at home.

#HackingDistanceLearning will help scholars to be the best students they can possibly, be right where they are.

They will learn how to overcome learning obstacles and rise higher academically and personally tips, tricks and techniques of learning styles, utilizing librarians, implementing feedback and so much more.
