My Project

One great strength of my district is the diversity of its students. I feel fortunate to teach in a classroom filled with rich culture and varied experiences.

I am requesting the Rosetta Stone program so that I can learn even more Spanish and better communicate with my students and their families.

I am having more and more opportunities to work with students who speak Spanish, and it is exciting! This valuable language learning program will help me to better communicate with parents during meetings, conferences, and phone calls. I will be able to teach English more effectively in my classroom because I will remove language barriers and build positive relationships with students and their families.

My classroom will benefit greatly from the bilingual skills I can gain through the Rosetta Stone program. Content in my classroom can be better presented with an understanding of my students' native language. I can use my Spanish language skills to clarify misunderstandings and build relationships with students. The ability to better communicate with students' families will foster collaboration between home and school, which will also benefit students tremendously.
