This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is full of curious and imaginative students who love hands-on learning experiences. They are eager to explore new topics, especially when it comes to animals and the natural world. What makes my students special is their excitement to learn through creative projects, where they can take ownership of their work and express their unique ideas.

The supplies we are requesting—such as model trees, construction paper, paint, animal figures, and modeling clay—will allow my students to bring animal habitats to life.

These materials will help them design and build realistic dioramas, sparking their creativity and deepening their understanding of different environments. As they work on their projects, they will develop critical thinking skills, explore the relationships between animals and their habitats, and learn how to collaborate with one another.

My goal for this project is to create an immersive learning experience that not only reinforces what we’ve studied but also encourages my students to think like scientists and artists. By crafting these habitats, they will gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world and the importance of ecosystems.

This project will give my students a sense of pride and accomplishment, as they get to showcase their creativity and knowledge in a meaningful way.
