My Students

Our students are amazing people with so many talents. They all have areas where they excel and shine and areas they struggle with. The neighborhood is a very poor neighborhood in an urban area.

Our school is often a place of respite for our students during the day.

Students in our school often struggle to have their basic needs met. They know that we believe in them and want to see them excel and they show up everyday to do their best and make us proud.

My Project

We have a gymnasium that doubles as an auditorium. The acoustics are awful and when students are on the stage performing or we bring special guests in their voices can not be heard.

We are putting on the play Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the best acting and fanciest costumes and sets will not make a difference if the students can not be heard by the audience.

We will be able to use the sound system for other events and the audience will be able to enjoy performances as well as performers can build their confidence knowing they can be heard while acting for years to come.
