Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As part of our school's DREAM Squad (which helps immigrant students and their families), we are trying to get combs, toothbrushes, shampoo, and other supplies for our school's "Care Closet," where students and families can "shop" (with dignity and no money) for "basic needs" items without judgment or money.
Any help is appreciated.
We are also a "Title 1" school where 89% of our total student population receives "free or reduced fare lu, "h," so many students would benefit from these items.
These items would be in addition to those already donated and purchased by staff members, but the need is ongoing as we are constantly getting new students.
