Gym & Fitness For Our Middle Schoolers

My Students

Our students are ready and willing to take on the challenges of a 21st-century education. They have many diverse styles of learning and need exposure to 21st-century learning resources. They need to collaborate with their peers and lead by example.

We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic, and 1% Caucasian with 97% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high-quality education to become productive citizens.

My Project

Our school has an afterschool enrichment program and needs sports and fitness equipment. We need outdoor workout games like hopscotch, a bean bag/ring toss, and cornhole toss. Some of the students will use the resistance bands and yoga mats for exercise routines. The table top tennis and hockey games will be extremely valuable as well.

This project will provide a variety of fitness activities for the students to do during the three hours of afterschool sports and enrichment.

The barcode scanner will be use to track attendance and dismissal. The lanyards will be used for student identification badges.
