Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This vivacious group of first-graders from an inner-city community of Miami Florida is an inquisitive group of students who are always ready to learn despite obstacles.
My students composed of English speakers of other languages (ESOL), special needs, and general education are curious and eager learners who love to learn new things.
Our classroom is a student-centered learning environment, creating an opportunity to fully engage in literacy instruction. Although at different stages of learning each student has unique skills needs and a desire to learn.
Despite their obstacles, the one thing that I see in all their eyes is an eagerness and excitement about reading and they are enjoying every step in their path to becoming fluent excellent readers.
My Project
Improving Literacy Instruction during the continued Pandemic. I am requesting a Microsoft Go Pro which students will use to practice and to enhance their reading and engaging instruction.
As part of their daily instruction, they work on online programs that provide them with individualized instruction based on their unique needs.
My students really enjoy interactive lessons with effective and engaging instruction! My goal is to provide them with educational experiences that will sustain and promote this sense of curiosity and desire for lifelong learning. This Microsoft Go Pro will help alleviate my students' struggles to learn something new in a foreign language and will support my students with learning disabilities.
