My Project
"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge."- Albert Einstein.
I have gifted and talented 6th and 7th graders this school year who crave the extra challenge to reach their potential in my classroom.
I would like to support them by creating a nurturing environment through music.
My students are curious and motivated learners. They come from very diverse cultural backgrounds, and many are receiving free or reduced lunch. I would like to foster their critical and creative thinking through the use of technology in order for them to be college and career ready. They enjoy applying their technology skills through coding and video editing. Having guitar, together with other digital musical instruments, in our classroom will allow them another experience to utilize advanced technology, integrate our Chromebooks to configure lessons, and practice rhythm and coordination all while having fun and learning a new skill through music. My students enjoy music and they can build stronger connections especially during free time or after school.
