My Students
My students are 21st-century learners. They love using technology in our classroom and I integrate it as much as possible into all of the subject areas. My students are a bunch of inquisitive learners.
I teach at a small neighborhood school with approximately five hundred sixty students.
We first opened our doors in 1950. Arts in education is a major emphasis on our campus. Our school's mission is to develop children into life-long learners as a result of a challenging curriculum, individualized instruction, high expectations, and a nurturing environment with parental and community involvement.
My class is made up of twenty diverse students, from students with special needs to those who are identified as gifted and talented. I encourage my students to appreciate each other's differences, as well as find similarities among each other. They are very active, creative, and enjoy learning.
My Project
I am requesting the entire year of Reagan Tunstall's Guided Math Kits for 1st Grade. It includes all 9 units bundled together for first grade guided math. It will provide me with everything I need to teach my students guided math and rotations with the whole group or small groups. Lesson plans, activities, and printables are all included and all ready to go! I am also requesting the ink cartridge refills & paper so that I can print out the games included with the Guided Reading Math Kits.
By purchasing this kit, I will be able to focus my attention on my students' needs instead of spending hours searching for materials to use for my lessons.
This home connection packet is designed as a way to connect the work students are doing during your math block with each student’s family at home. Each letter gives families an overview of the math concept {objective}, home activity ideas, and math talk vocabulary
The interactive math games can be used for whole class lessons, center games, or extra practice. There are 4 games in each unit, that correspond to the Guided Math kit. Each game has 10 questions. This way students will be engaged and motivated to practice the skills we are learning using the iPads and computers.
