Guided Reading Library

My project needs 4 sets of leveled reading books.

This project is fully funded

Although our library is stocked with quality literature, we lack books from a variety of levels. From the most gifted reader to the most reluctant reader, all of my students would benefit from a selection of leveled books. Not only would these books add to their independent reading selections, they would also assist with my guided reading instruction. Students are encouraged to select "just right" books that are not too difficult or too easy. While they have become experts in this selection process, I monitor and scaffold it through conferencing and letter writing. The leveled library would be another tool to assist student book selection. The books will provide hours of reading instruction and enjoyment in the classroom for years to come.
