My Students
My 5th-grade students attend a public school in New York and are in an ICT classroom. All of my students are eager to learn! However, some of my students have special needs and need a lot of support to achieve their learning goals. They are eager to learn and are all capable of learning. I hope to motivate my students to be excited about learning and surround them with a supportive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Our vision is to create a classroom that fosters independence, growth, and engagement!
My Project
My students need two dry erase easels for our reading and writing lessons. Every day we come to the meeting area to read our shared read aloud and have a socratic seminar. My co-teacher and I need dry erase easels to display important anchor charts and notes during this time. It would be so beneficial for our students to clearly see the learning intention and success criteria right in the meeting area instead of looking to the front of the room at the Smartboard. We also really need the easels for our guided reading rotations. My co-teacher and I each take a group of students and work on specific skills. During this time, our students can use the dry erase easel to collaboratively display their thinking and so much more.
