My students are amazing and are eager to learn. In the first grade, they are learning their basic foundations that will help them be successful in their future. They are learning how to read, write and basic math skills.
Our school has a majority of the students who receive free and reduced price lunch and we don't have a lot of technology in our school for the lower elementary grades.
Technology is always exciting and my students talk about playing games at their house or their friends and how excited they are when they get to use a phone or iPad.
My Project
My class just received a new table and would like new chairs to go with it.
The furniture I am requesting through this project will benefit my students by giving them new chairs at the guided reading table.
We currently have heavy chairs that are not conducive to our small group learning places around our classroom.
This furniture would allow for better functionality of cooperative learning time and arrangement.
The lightweight chairs will be easy to stack and rearrange as we constantly group and regroup for differentiated learning. My students will love having this new furniture and more options on where to sit in order to achieve their highest learning potential.
