Guided Reading Centers Kids Will Look Forward to Be In!
Help me give my students an inviting environment for reading time in different centers where they can sit on Comfy Floor Seats, USA and world map rugs, and colorful stacking stools in a guided reading center with me.
I would like to create an inviting environment for the guided reading centers for my students. Students will rotate around 5 centers: Guided Reading Center with the teacher where they will use the colorful stacking chairs around the table that allow saving space and help with transitions between activities; the Independent Reading Center on the Computers where they can use the colorful Comfy Floor Seats and read from their laptops; the Silent Reading Center where they can sit on the USA map carpet with the book of their choice and read; the Creative Center where they can sit on the world map carpet and work on creative projects about ancient civilizations (the main topic of 6th grade) and reference the location of counties on the carpet. Dry-erase markers will allow them to use the small whiteboards to write on when they participate in team activities.
