My Students

My students are amazing and are eager to learn. In the first grade, they are learning their basic foundations that will help them be successful in their future. They are learning how to read, write, and do basic math skills.

Our school has a majority of the students who receive free and reduced-price lunch and we don't have a lot of guided reading books in our school for the lower elementary grades.

New books are always exciting and I can't wait to teach them about "Rosie and Bella" through reading.

My Project

My students are just learning to read and write and the most important tool I can give them is confidence in their reading. I can't give them confidence if the books they are reading are too hard for them. My classroom doesn't have a lot of guided reading books that are suitable to my students’ current reading level and I would like to have books that are more on their level to keep them growing and learning new sight words before moving on to bigger words.

Giving students confidence in reading is the perfect way to build better readers.

They won't be afraid to challenge themselves to read harder books if I can get them some easier books and books that are more engaging. My students will love getting new books and the collection I have selected is about 2 dogs "Rosie, and Bella" and they are amazing books to keep the students engaged and learning.
