My Students

We have an excited, energetic, talkative, amazing group of kindergartners! We have 19 students who love to learn. Kindergarten is a busy place where we are always working to balance social-emotional learning with meeting academic standards as well! Most of all, we want to teach children to continue to love learning and create a desire for children to become lifelong learners!

Kindergartners are a unique group of students, making a big shift between preschool and first grade, with growing independence and skills!

My Project

These amazing guided reading books would give students more opportunities to read high quality and engaging texts in the with teacher support. Kindergarten students take off in the spring with reading skills. They meet weekly with me to learn new reading strategies. These new texts from reading experts Irene Fountas and Gay Su Pinnell are the best texts available for my students! This classroom set provides 25 different titles ranging in levels, with six copies of each book. Having these right in the classroom for my students rather than sharing with six other kindergarten teachers would make a big difference for me and my students!
