My Project
The third and fourth grades are huge years for developing independence in kids' reading. The students should have the skills they need to be basic readers and now we are ready to build independent readers. It is very important to have them reading good chapter books which are at their instructional level.
My project will help foster that love of independent reading by giving my students excellent fiction books that they can read independently and then discuss in a small group setting.
Each set is a different reading level and has 6 titles and about 30 books for the students to use.
