My students are a lively and lovable group of second graders! They are from an urban city in Massachusetts and love learning! These second graders are quite active and very curious about the world. They enjoy anything that is hands on and allows them to move around! My students love anything that makes learning come to life and is FUN!
As a teacher, it is my job to engage all my students and help them to be the best students they can be.
I take this job very seriously and am honored to have these kids in my class!
My Project
I am requesting independent math stations and math manupulatives. These math materials will help my students gain hands on experiences during guided math time! I plan on using these manipulatives to support curriculum while I take small groups of students. Students will work independently on these activities to help strengthen concepts we are learning in class. By having activities accessible to them that are both challenging and easy to understand, students will be on task during small group math time.
These materials will make learning fun for my second graders and allow them to feel as though they are "playing" while they are learning!
It will also be very beneficial for me to have these materials as work stations. By doing so, I will be able to conference and intervene with other groups of kids, knowing that my other students are doing something academic and worthwhile in the meantime.
