This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like to sit in a desk and listen to your teacher lecture all day? I want my students to play an active role in their learning. Guided math with stations will allow them to really take ownership in their individual learning.
These kids come from a Title I school in Texas.
Almost all of my wonderful students are of low economic status. They are eager to learn and love doing things out of the ordinary. They would certainly benefit from the change of design in math instruction.
My Project
My students need notebooks, activities, index cards, and kits all for guided math workstations. Guided math is a new concept for my students, and I want them to get as much from it as possible! All of the items I need are not on their school supply lists, but are beneficial for a successful Guided Math Program. The teacher supplies I have asked for will help me facilitate a better learning environment with all the tools I need to reach my struggling kiddos as well as enrich the learning of my students who are surpassing their peers.
Students thrive on new and interesting ways to learn, and this will provide for some amazing lessons and enrichment.
Your donation is tremendously appreciated, and I know the students will be so excited!
