My Project

FRC Team 3464 is preparing for the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season, and our students are eager to take a major step forward in technology, engineering, and real-world problem-solving. This year, we hope to introduce advanced computer-vision tools to our robot—technology that mirrors what professionals use in fields like autonomous vehicles, manufacturing, and aerospace.

To make this leap, we are requesting an updated swerve module and powerful motors which are designed specifically for robotics teams.

Limelight uses computer vision to detect, identify, and track field targets. With this tool, our robot will be able to automatically aim, align, and navigate, reducing human error and allowing our students to design more intelligent, autonomous systems.

This equipment isn’t just a competitive upgrade—it’s a transformative learning opportunity. Students will gain hands-on experience with:

Machine vision and image processing

Autonomous navigation algorithms

Real-time decision-making systems

Integration of hardware and software

These are the same skills used in cutting-edge STEM careers, and having access to this technology will allow our team to practice authentic engineering and programming challenges.
