I apologize for the delayed \"thank you\"; I wanted to wait until we got to the microscope unit in school to share some photos. Your support has made a major impact on my students and their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThis year, the addition of a printer and a digital microscope has truly transformed the classroom. The printer has been a lifesaver for printing out essential materials, especially since the printers in our room were removed over the summer. There is always one student who is out and needs that extra copy. Being in a science classroom, we're not allowed to leave the classroom unattended whatsoever. This put a major pain in planning as I have to print more than enough for each student while seemingly wasting extra paper in the process. Now that I have a printer nearby, I can avoid all of this with a push of a button. \r\n\r\nThe digital microscope has been a game-changer in our exploration of the microscopic world. Students have been able to see protists and bacteria in incredible detail. I submitted a few images of them to this thank you. In the photos, you will see cells and specimens ranging from onions, Pine Wood, apples, and even a neat bacteria/ciliate called Stentor. Many students had never seen living microorganisms before, and the ability to project what they're viewing onto a screen has allowed for awesome group discussions and learning moments. Seeing the intricate movements and structures of these tiny organisms has brought biology to life in a way that textbooks simply cannot.\r\n\r\nIntegrating cool technology like this into our lessons enhances learning and inspires students to see the possibilities within science and technology.
