My Project

Our classroom is embarking on an exciting community service project to connect with nature and support our local wildlife through environmental education. We aim to create vibrant habitats and feeding stations for local animals, offering valuable community service to our ecosystem.

We plan to build, paint, and place various birdhouses, feeders, bat houses, beehives, and insect hotels to promote pollination and biodiversity, directly contributing to environmental efforts.

Additionally, we will plant milkweed to attract butterflies and incorporate a butterfly puddler, further enhancing our impact on local wildlife. We will start the seeds inside the classroom and later transplant them into the garden in front of the school, providing ongoing community service to beautify our surroundings and support nature. We will also watch our caterpillars metamorphose into butterflies, and we will release them into the garden. We believe that these efforts will greatly benefit the animal community in our little wildlife garden space.

Through this project, students will learn about the different needs of species such as birds and bees, and how to design spaces that cater to them, fostering a sense of responsibility toward animal welfare. By constructing birdhouses and bee habitats, students will actively contribute to their local ecosystem, helping ensure these creatures have the resources they need to thrive, making a meaningful impact. Students will be able to mentor other students on protecting and supporting local wildlife and connecting with nature. Students will protect little critters and become Guardians of Nature.

Engaging in this hands-on learning journey will help students develop real-world skills while positively impacting their community.
