Help me give my students a Battery Dilemma kit, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hydroxide to perform their own science experiments for our school's science fair!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Lim's classroom raised $307
This project is fully funded
My Project
Our school is hosting its very first schoolwide science fair this year! We are asking students in all classes to do their own experiments, and it has been a joy to see them take the initiative to pursue topics that they are interested in. My 10th-grade chemistry students are all choosing projects that involve chemical reactions in some way. Although some are going the traditional route of baking soda volcanoes or Elephant Toothpaste, some wish to go outside the box!
To enable students to study the topics they are interested in, we need help providing them with a range of materials.
The main materials in this fundraiser will be for food-based electricity batteries, as well as creating their own soap! I am so excited for students to engage in science beyond our normal curriculum, as well as engage in the scientific method on their own! The hope is that many of them will get a sense of what scientific research is about, and may even pursue it on their own. Please help our students not only enrich their own learning but present that learning to their peers in this science fair!
