I work in a Title I school with a large minority population in a small school district where a majority of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. They are active learners who like to challenge themselves in many ways. They are also very enthusiastic about coming to school and learning new things. What I love about my students is that they strive to work hard in school regardless of their home life and circumstances. They don't let their various situations discourage them from becoming better learners as well as future leaders.
I feel that these materials will benefit my students in many ways. It will give my students access to more technological resources within the classroom. With literacy, it will allow my students more access to online books and other reading materials, as well as assessment opportunities. With science, it will grant them opportunities to conduct experiments and keep data of their findings.
Also, it will help them be able to increase their knowledge and research skills in reading and science.
Overall, I see these HP Chromebooks as a huge benefit for my students to help increase their learning and better prepare them for end-of-year assessments.
