These elementary students are among the most diverse in the nation. At our school alone, there are 83 languages and dialects spoken. They live in one of the highest crime areas and in some of the highest poverty levels with 78% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch in an urban district.
These children are eager to learn and be 21st-century ready leaders to become lifelong learners.
These students could use a variety of materials to assist them in filling the learning gaps of our lowest Title I learners and English Language students along with opportunities to challenge our Gifted and Talented students.
My Project
Thank you for your generous donations to start growing our growth mindset garden where student minds will bloom on a day to day basis using growth mindset. Please help support my class begin each day with a journal about growth mindset.
These journals will help students move from a fixed mindset and bloom into amazing students who are willing to ask questions and question others.
Together with the mini library for interactive read alouds and the bulletin board set students will be to monitor and set goals for growing their mindset every day.
