Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Over 90% of our students receive free and reduced lunches and come from low income households where experiences are limited beyond the environment they reside.

They are eager to learn and need exposure to the real world.

Students are high achievers when given high expectations and are determined to learn. Students are economically disadvantaged and need more resources in the classroom to access the curriculum in order to be successful on state assessments as well as in life. When students are given the opportunity to be successful and are taught with love and respect, they reciprocate the feeling by learning.

My Project

These posters and supplies, augmented reality cubes, hands on stem activities will be used to teach those subjects our students struggle to understand because of the content being so abstract. More interaction, less teacher talk is the goal!

Using the cubes, students will be able to see the periodic table come alive in the palm of their hands.

Using the posters to motivate them in the classroom of the growth mindset. Using the STEM activity sets to bring the content into real life application will allow our students to see how applicable the content is to real life in order to make connections. This will bring their learning to life!
