Help me give my students incentives for positive behavior both in and out of the classroom. Chapter books to reward their positive choices. Positive behavior punch cards with fun punches to use and Growth Mind set books.
I teach at a Title I school where all students get free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students come from very low-income homes, and many of these homes are broken or have many families sharing a space. School is a place for them not only to learn, but also to feel safe in and be able to spend time with their friends. Many of these students also receive free dental care at school as well as backpacks of food to take home on the weekends.
I would like to get reward cards and decorative punches for my classroom.
This year I am trying to focus on a very positive driven reward system in my classroom. By offering positive incentives, my students will be able to earn books to take home and help build their at home library.
By purchasing chapter books, picture books, reward cards and decorative punch cards, I will be able to encourage my students to different ways of getting positive attention at school. I hope to help keep them interested in reading and encourage them to make good choices both in and out of the classroom.
I will use the Positive Reward punch cards with the decorative punches to "catch them doing something positive". I would like to reward them with the chapter books so they can start building their own library at home.
By reading books about Growth Mind Set to my students, I want to teach them that they are able to do anything they set their minds to.
The colored pens and pencils will be used through out my days teaching. I use them to bring color to the classroom and brighten the students' learning.
I want to encourage a love for reading with emphasis on positive behavior and good choices.
