Growing Young Minds: A 6th Grade Hydroponics Project

Help me give my students hydrophonic garden so they can explore science, sustainability, and hands-on learning by building a classroom hydroponics system to grow plants without soil!

My Project

Imagine a classroom where students can witness plants growing right before their eyes—without soil! Through this hydroponics project, my 6th graders will learn about plant biology, water conservation, and sustainable farming, all while growing their own herbs, vegetables, or flowers.

This project aligns with our science curriculum by reinforcing concepts such as the water cycle, photosynthesis, and sustainability.

It also helps students develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and responsibility as they care for their plants.
