Help me give my students extra support using technology to allow them to listen and read stories and extra support for math educational games. I plan on doing centers and would love to incorporate kindles as a station.
My students are amazing and are eager to learn. In the first grade, they are learning their basic foundations that will help them be successful in their future. They are learning how to read, write and basic math skills.
Our school has a majority of the students who receive free and reduced lunch and we don't have a lot of technology in our school for the lower elementary grades.
Technology is always exciting and my students talk about playing games at their house or their friends and how excited they are when they get to use a phone or iPad.
My Project
Technology is our future and children seem to be born ready to use it. I would love to have some kindles in my classroom so that students can use them during center time when I am teaching guided reading. Students will rotate each day and I will have 7 stations so they only get to use them every 7 school days. Students love technology and they would be allowed to use Starfall and Story-time to help them build up their reading and writing skills. They can also use Zearn to help them with their math.
The kindles can be programmed to have different applications that are suitable to my first-grade class and they will only be allowed to the educational games that are on it.
