Growing Up PBIS

My Project

I run the school PBIS store and help almost 800 students keep up with their positive behavior bucks! Each month we take a whole week when they come to my class to shop at the school store for items or experiences that they have been working towards. They love fun pencils and pens, anything smelly, fun pens, the coiled hair ties are super popular with my fourth and fifth graders, while the little cars are really popular with my kinder, firsties, and seconds. The organizer will be especially helpful for sorting all of the fun pens we have been getting for their purchases.

As we approach spring, we are so amazed at how far we've grown since August!

To better visualize this, the seed grow kits will help us grow little seeds to watch as they make their ways through their science and plant units in the coming months.

Even though they know we only shop once a month, every week when they come in, they always ask, "Are we shopping today? Look at how many bucks I've earned since last week! I'm really trying, Mrs. V.!" I am so proud of the difference in their buck balances since our first store in September to the one in December. It shows that the store is a good incentive for my students to make smart choices and continue meeting and exceeding our school expectations!
